Different cutting machines work with different SVG compatible software. Our SVG files can work with any SCG-compatible program. The Cricut Explore machines work with a software called Cricut’s online Design Space. The Sizzix eclips2 machine works with eCal from CraftEdge. Silhouette Cameo/Portrait/SD machines work with Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software or Sure Cuts a Lot 3 (“SCAL3”) or later. The Brother ScanNCut machine works with Canvas software. SVG is just a fancy term used to define vector-based graphics that stands for Scalable Vector Graphics. The graphics in XML are usually defined by SVG that is a W3C recommendation. Every attribute and element in SVG files can be animated.
Well, As compressed files take less storage space, so when you download from a file, it will come in a compressed file format (zipped file). You have to unzip the zipped file. There are differences in how to open a zipped file depending on your operating systems. We’ve shown below:
PC: Right-click on the zip file and click “Unzip” or “Extract”.
MAC: To unzip, simply double-click on the zip file.
iPhone: Unzip the file using the ‘iZip’ app. First, download the app from the App Store and import the file into the software app.
Android: Click on the ‘Extract’ after selecting the file. Then import to the software app and use it.
